What a fantastic project this was working with two amazing humans – Paul and Penny Gordon. They worked tirelessly to gain land and planning permission to build a brand new early years swim centre and café in Newton Aycliffe. Working together we gained a substantial grant to support financing the build and hey presto an amazing new facility was born. The Fish Tank is wonderful, I have taken my children there for a swim and now will follow on by taking my friends children to the playroom and sensory room.
It is so special as it is designed with so much knowledge – needs for vulnerable children/adults, needs in regards to light, noise and space, and most of all they restrict the number of people in the pool so it is not too busy and everyone has a fantastic time.
This is also one of my super favourites – both because Paul and Penny were so very organised and ahead of the game (with everything) and Pauls project management experience was second to none. Along with them both being wonderful to work with and family orientated. Despite a covid start year this facility has gone from strength to strenth and been a marvellous success which is wonderful.
