GrantsGEM Finance
Some key questions to consider before a meeting to help us understand your project overview
If you are thinking of setting up a business / applying for a grant or funding you will absolutely need a business plan and some forecasts to tell the story and back it up with the numbers in order to gain any sort of financial support.
Have you Created Your Business Plan?
This is such a crucial process and I still do this for my own business every year or two. It has changed over the years and this is so important to make sure you are providing what you want to and for the right pricing to achieve the most important part – profitability and the ability to continue investing in your business growth.
Are you wondering about grants and funding? If the answer is yes, go through the following questions and think carefully about the answers:
Are you looking at any job creation? If so think about roles/salaries/timings.
Please list the approximate costs for each item of spend – think for the next 2-3yrs along with quotes if possible.
Please ensure that you give the correct location of the business – ie. if it is moving it will be the new location.
This is really important for eligibility.
Will the project create any new services or products for your business?
If a website is it taking you to selling online? Is it a new machine that offers further services?
Will the project be anything relating to Tourism?
How will this project enhance your business?
Do you have match/cashflow to support the project?
